Pastor Vance Becker’s Ordination
  • Rev. Steve Bongard will preach at the 9:00 AM service of worship and afterward visit about his ministry.
  • Rev. Bongard is serving as Senior Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Valparaiso, IN.
  • A 10:30 a.m. potluck brunch will be followed by root beer floats in celebration of Pastor Becker’s anniversary.

Anniversary of the first service of worship, September 8, 1957
Education Sunday
  • Resumption of Sunday Bible classes,
  • 7th year of Little Lambs Preschool and
  • 3rd year of Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Teacher induction will be part of the 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. services of worship.
  • Rev. Tom Olson will preach at a special 2:00 p.m. service of worship and afterward will visit about his ministry.
  • Rev. Olson is now serving as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Tyron, NC.
  • A catered turkey dinner will be served at 4:00 p.m. with a free will offering. Offerings in surplus of $6 per person will go toward the sanctuary building fund. (Groundbreaking for the sanctuary was 2 years ago this weekend. Dedication was last year, Oct. 1.)

  • Rev. Rutt is serving as Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Missions and Dean for Distance Learning at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN.
  • A 12:00 noon pot-luck dinner follows.
