Greetings from Kindergarten and First Grade.
Spring has sprung, and we continue to work hard in the classroom. We especially enjoy the volunteers that come and work with us. Karen and Richard Johnson come and read with us several times a week. Mrs. Joan Graham and Jessica Brase also come and read or play learning games with us. We really enjoy their help and it’s so fun to work with them.
As a part of an Earth Day Unit, we talked about ways to take care of God’s earth. We learned that recycling is one way to help take care of the resources that God has given us. We recycle paper in the classroom on a regular basis. We know that you can make new paper out of the old paper. Well we tried it ourselves. We made “new” paper out of newspaper. We are using the paper that we made to make cards. What fun!!
We enjoyed May Day. We were able to sing for the residents of North Point and then deliver May baskets to the residents.
We are excited that warmer weather is coming and that we will be able to spend more time outside.
Blessings to you all.
