Lutheran Schools Week 2008
March 3-9, 2008
National Lutheran Schools Week is March 3-9. This year's theme verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" God's plans for us include giving us faith which endures to eternal life and also to use us during our lives in this world to be a blessing to others. Students at Good Shepherd Lutheran School are prepared for the future God has planned for them by what they learn in the classroom and by other experiences they have together.
Tuesday, students are invited to wear school shirts as they put their faith into action, packaging food at "Kids Against Hunger.” Family and friends of Good Shepherd Lutheran School are invited to help provide funds for the food. Checks can be sent to the school, made out to "Kids Against Hunger.”
